FAQ

What is The Slow Edit?

The Slow Edit is a digital journal created by two writers, Elian & Mira.
We explore slow living, intentional growth, food, travel, money, books, tech and the small details that shape who we’re becoming.

Will you reply to every letter?

We read every letter that comes in. When we’re able, we reply thoughtfully and with care. Some letters may receive a longer reflective response, while others may receive a brief acknowledgment to let you know your words were heard.

Because this is a slow, intentional space, replies may take time – and not every letter will receive advice or detailed guidance.

Is this a form of therapy or counselling?

No.
Letters to The Slow Edit is not therapy, counselling, crisis support, or professional advice. We are not licensed mental health professionals, and our replies are offered as peer-to-peer reflection only.

If you’re experiencing distress, feeling unsafe or need professional support, we encourage you to contact a licensed practitioner or your local emergency services.

Are letters anonymous, and will you ever publish them?

Letters can be written anonymously. You’re not required to share your real name, and we encourage you not to include personal identifying details in your message.

We treat all letters as private correspondence.

We do not publish letters publicly. If, in the future, we ever reference themes or reflections inspired by what we read, it will be done in a general, anonymised way, without sharing identifying details, direct quotes or anything that could trace back to an individual.

Your words are held with care and confidentiality. Writing to us is meant to be a place of safety, not exposure.

What can I write about in the letter?
